Diary(100917)

I had not written diary for three days. I know. I should take it more seriously, because diary is good for skeleton. (No, that is dairy.)

On Monday’s night I went to NYU Stern's illustrating session. The session was more interesting than I expected. The speaker firstly asked everyone to chat with people nearby in English for one minute. It was very funny. I guessed if someone can not talk in English with ease, he/she may immediately realize that NYU Stern is not suitable for him/her.

The location at which the NYU Stern’s illustrating session held was also impressed. It was at Taipei 101’s ninth floor, which is the office of Taiwan Stock Exchange. The capacity of the site probably reached to 100 people. It is much more comfortable and fascinating compare to UCLA’s illustrating session, which held at an office building’s basement and the capacity was barely around 50 people.

I think it is a sign that reveal the fiscal deficit of the California. No wonder why the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from California recently came to Asia and was eager to look for financial aid for his high-speed railway building plan.

NYU Stern’s session also disclosed some attractive characteristics of its classes and faculty. However, whether I should apply for it next year is still undecided. The living price at N.Y. is too high. Carnegie Mellon is still my first choice.

Furthermore, yesterday I luckily wrote an article about global software industry, and I found that Carnegie Mellon’s classes about software industry are quite famous. If I can get the offer from Carnegie Mellon, I may earn the financial and software knowledge at the same time when I graduate and have the chance to get into the e-commerce industry which I am interested in.

For example, in the future banks in Wall Street will gradually outsource some low-level works to the software company in emerging countries. At that time, I may set up my own company and regularly write research reports for foreign companies. A combination of the financial and software knowledge should be essential for my competitiveness.

That is all. Today’s diary is too long I guess.
